How to Keep Your Mini Monstera Houseplant Thriving
If you're looking for a unique and beautiful houseplant that can fit in even the smallest of spaces, the mini monstera, also known as the Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma, is the plant for you. With its gorgeous foliage, this tiny houseplant is easy to care for and will brighten up any room you put it in. Here's how to keep your mini monstera alive and well.
How Much Water Does It Need?
Mini monsteras require little watering. During the spring and summer, water your mini monstera once every three days, just enough to keep the soil moist but not soggy. In the winter, water it once every five days or so. Make sure you're using room temperature water; cold water can shock or even kill your plant!
Where Should I Put It?
Mini monsteras prefer indirect sunlight, so if you have a sunny windowsill, use a sheer curtain to block out some of the sun so the plant doesn't get burned by direct sunlight. If there isn't a lot of natural light in your home, you can supplement with artificial light, such as LED grow lights; just make sure your mini monstera gets 12-14 hours of light per day.
What About Fertilizer?
Fertilize your mini monstera every two weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) to keep it healthy and full of life. Make sure to buy fertilizer that’s specially made for houseplants; regular fertilizers like Miracle Gro won't work as well and may harm the plant over time.
Your mini monstera will thrive in its new home with just a little love and attention! Remember to water it on a regular but not excessive basis, place it near a window but away from direct sunlight, and fertilize it during the growing season. With these simple tips in mind, you'll be able to enjoy this lovely houseplant for years to come!
